We exist to help people see Jesus, know Jesus, and follow the way of Jesus in everyday life.​

We are located in downtown Chattanooga with gatherings every Sunday and Wednesday. We gather inside of the Cadence Coffee Co. space which helps make our gatherings feel authentic, relaxed, and welcoming to all. We are a non-denominational community of believers, knowing that one day Jesus will gather all denominations to the same table. We have a high value for the Holy Scriptures, Communion, and Worship.

Our Gatherings

Sunday Mornings  |  10:00am
A weekly gathering dedicated to pursuing the person of Jesus through worship, prayer, scripture and communion. We believe we are joining the eternal assembly (Heb. 12:18-24) in our worship each week, value the equipping of the body for the works of service (Eph.4:12) by plainly teaching the Scriptures, and receiving the sacrament of Communion as Jesus' broken body and blood shed for the forgiveness of sins. (Matt. 26:27-28)
Wednesday Evenings  |  6:30pm
A weekly gathering to behold and love Jesus through pure & simple worship. We invite you to come and adore Jesus with us by worshipping, reading your Bible, praying the Scriptures, praying for others, or simply sitting with Him. Our hearts desire to become a place like Bethany where Mary poured out her oil on His feet. (John 12:1-3)
Dwell Retreat  |  Quarterly
A quarterly gathering devoted to spiritual formation, practicing the way of Jesus, worship & prayer. This is led by a member of our body with extensive training on prayer & ministry and the goal of these gatherings is to unify our body under Christ and put into practice the teachings of Jesus.

Bereaved Parents Group  |  1st Monday at 6:30pm
A monthly gathering for those who have lost children, that is focused on bringing hope, community & support. This is led by a married couple in our church who has lost a child. The goal of this gathering is to offer hope to grieving parents by pointing them to Jesus Christ as the source of comfort and peace. (John 14:26-27)

What We Believe

God is the generous Father (John 3:16-18), Jesus is the Son of God (Matt.16:16), and Holy Spirit was sent from Christ to remind us of all He said (John 14:26). The full Bible is the inspired word of God and our guide for life (2 Tim.3:16-17). The Holy Spirit and the gifts He provides are still active as they express the life of Jesus (1 Cor.12). God's design for marriage & relationship as one of male and female (Matt.19:4). Since God filled each of these, he dignified them with His diety, meaning we also value them and fight to see them alive and active: the embryo & fetus (Matt.1:18), babies (Matt.1:25), children (Luke 2:42), immigrants (Matt.2:13-15), women (Luke 1:35), men (Luke 1:31), all.

In addition to weekly gatherings for worship and prayer, RiverChurch is connected with other churches and ministries in the city of Chattanooga to see the Gospel of Jesus go forth into our city, our nation and the nations of the world.

The Oasis Center

We are building a house for the Lord in our city and will fill it with His desires -- caring for the widow & orphan, feeding the hungry, worship, prayer, and more.

This non-profit seeks to resource and rally believers in prayer through retreats, gatherings, and rhythms. We join them regularly as a body.
